Creating your own meditation space doesn’t have to be complicated. All you need is a small area where you feel comfortable and won’t be disturbed. A blanket, cushion, or even a chair can help you feel grounded and supported.

Setting up your space is also a great first step if you’re joining the 40 Days to Personal Revolution. This program helps you slowly create (mental) space for daily meditation, making it a consistent part of your life. Here are 9 things you can do to welcome in the energy of summer and set yourself up for a season of growth, expansion, and joy. Swipe to see or read below:

✨ The Joy of Being a Perpetual Student 👩🏽‍🎓

Teaching is more than just sharing knowledge; it’s a beautiful, reciprocal journey of growth and discovery. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my career as a yoga educator/teacher is the opportunity to be a perpetual student myself. Every day, I learn something new from my students, and this continuous exchange of wisdom keeps my passion alive.

There’s an indescribable joy in witnessing the spark of understanding light up in a student’s eyes. It’s that moment when concepts click, and you can see the transformation taking place. This spark fuels my dedication and reminds me why I chose this path. It’s in these moments that I find the deepest satisfaction and a profound sense of purpose.

In my yoga teacher training sessions, the atmosphere is charged with energy and enthusiasm. Watching your future teachers practice teaching, I see their confidence grow, their skills sharpen, and their unique styles emerge. Each of them brings something special to the practice, and their progress is a testament to the beauty of learning and teaching.

I also find joy in sharing these experiences with my family. My nephew, #elTutidetiti, who is an incredible baseball player, has taken an interest in my sound bowls. Watching him practice, I see the same spark of curiosity and joy in his young budding mind.

For me, teaching is not just a profession; it’s a way of life. It’s about embracing the role of both teacher and student, constantly evolving and growing alongside those I teach. This dynamic relationship is what makes teaching so rewarding and keeps my love for it ever-present.

So, I turned to @amitjouhal ,🕺🏽 a super cool 9th grader, and asked him for a nickname. Without missing a beat, he came up with “Meeshie.” Little did I know, that casual moment would define a huge part of my identity! 🎉

Week 3 of YTT has been an absolute blast! 🎉 We went deep into the wisdom of Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and music, finding inspiration in her grace and creativity. 🙏💫 Learning about the Kleshas has been eye-opening, helping us understand and overcome the obstacles on our path to self-discovery and growth.

Sanskrit sessions revealed the beauty and power of this ancient language. 📚🕉️ And we went over hands-on assists—practicing and perfecting our techniques to support our students with confidence and compassion. 🤲💕

They also learned the basic arc of a vinyasa class, and how to feel the energy shift and the connection with each breath and movement. 🧘‍♀️🌿

It’s been such an honor and pleasure to learn with this group!🌟
